Terms & Conditions
These Terms and Conditions for DJ Sime
are designed to protect both the
entertainer and the client.

By making a booking, you agree to our
Retainer and Cancellation Policy,
our Final Payment Terms
and our Equipment Liability clauses.
Â
This agreement also outlines the Travel Surcharge
& Force Majeure protocol for all events in Yorkshire.
1. Booking: Retainer
& Cancellation Policy
Retainer: The initial booking fee (retainer) secures your specific
date and is completely non-refundable.
Cancellations: If you cancel your booking with more than 14
days notice, a credit note for the retainer value
will be issued for future use.
Date Changes: Requests to change your event date made with
14+ days notice are subject entirely to calendar availability.
2. Final Payment
& Performance
Our Final Payment Terms require the outstanding balance
to be paid in full at the start of the event,
immediately following equipment setup.
Payment must be made in cash unless otherwise agreed
in writing beforehand.
If these payment requirements are not met,
the DJ reserves the absolute right to
withhold the performance.
3. Logistics: Travel Surcharge & Access
Standard Travel Surcharge: A surcharge of £20–£60 applies
for venues located over 20 miles from Leeds City Centre.
City Centre Surcharge: A flat £50 surcharge applies for
gigs in Leeds, York, and some other major city centres
due toloading/parking complexity.
Access Surcharge: An access surcharge of £10–£20 applies
for setups involving upper floor levels without lift access.
4. Safety and
Equipment Liability
In accordance with our Equipment Liability rules, the
Client assumes full responsibility
for any damage caused to the DJ’s equipment by
guests, venue staff or unauthorised persons.
The full cost of professional repair
or total replacement must be covered
by the Client.
5. Force Majeure
and Liability
Under this Force Majeure clause,
the DJ is not held liable
for performance failures caused by
events entirely beyond reasonable control
(e.g., extreme weather, road closures,
or venue power failures).
In any Force Majeure scenario, total liability
is strictly limited to a refund of payments
received, excluding the initial deposit.
6. Performance Policies
Music Policy: We always prioritise your personal requests and active crowd engagement to keep the dancefloor moving.

Playlists: Your specific music playlists must be submitted at least 7 days prior to the event via a Streaming Link, text, or email.
Â
Overtime: Any extra playing time must be agreed upon on the night. Please note that digital payments made on the night incur a £10 admin fee.
